Big Day Yesterday

Yesterday at Lance's school they had their Christmas program. They were so cute! You could tell that all of the classes had practiced A LOT! Most of the kiddos even sang!!

Here is Lance's class going up for their turn to perform...
With "no flashes allowed" it was hard to get a really good clear picture. This is the kiddos right before they started performing...

Lance finally warmed up to the idea of singing toward the end of the song, but he did the motions through most of it.
And for the big news with Bryce... he lost his first tooth! The tooth fairy came to visit Bryce last night and it was all VERY EXCITING! I can't believe how big our baby has gotten... almost 6 and losing his teeth!

Birthday cupcakes

Last week, on Tuesday, before everyone in the house came down with the stomach bug, Lance, Manning and I took cupcakes to Bryce's class to celebrate his birthday (which is actually over the Christmas holiday). They had a nice celebration in honor of his birthday.
This is Bryce being serenaded by his class with a rendition of "Happy Birthday"...

Miss Rhodes was nice enough to let Manning sit next to her big brother in class. Manning made a COMPLETE mess of her spot. I felt bad for the child sitting in that chair in the afternoon class... there was icing all over it!Lance enjoyed a cupcake at one of the classroom tables as well. He was too shy to sit next to his big brother and friends. He had fun anyway.
This was that afternoon, while the boys were napping, Manning and I made some yummy dessert for Bible Study. I had put on my Christmas apron and Manning wanted to participate too... so she has my Thanksgiving apron on. Too cute!

Writing on the wall

Well, it's clear that I can't handle doing the daily blog right now. Bryce and Manning were both sick on Tuesday night/Wednesday with the stomach bug and now Lance has it. So sorry the blog hasn't been more interesting this week.

Hope you all and your families are doing well!

I failed!

I had taken some pictures of the star on our tree and a cute nativity scene that Melissa gave us all in preparation of blogging last night. I was so tired after my soccer game that I TOTALLY forgot and remembered after I'd turned the computer off... bad Becca. Oh well... thus is life. Maybe it will be the only day I miss this month?!? Yeah right!

The lights are up!

I love the outdoor decorations at Christmas almost as much as I love the indoor ones. Here's what the Boneau house looks like during the Christmas season.

The wreath...
Bows on the light fixtures...
The little clay snowmen to greet you at the front door. We got them in Dubai... it's our little snowman family.
Trent worked very hard putting the lights out today. I love them!

It's so much fun, isn't it??

Christmas Spirit

A tradition for our Christmas is that the kiddos decorate this cute little ceramic tree that my Mom made for me when I was little. It was really cute because Manning got in to it this year and her fingers don't work well enough for her to actually fit the little light bulbs in to the holes on the tree. She had the Christmas spirit though! Bryce and Lance were quick to help her too.

Here the kids are decorating the tree...
They have to suffer wearing matching jammies... I don't often have them match in public though... unless they choose. (i.e. Notre Dame jerseys)

Bryce putting the first ornaments on the tree. Lance and I were searching out the loot in the box.
Lance putting his first ornament on the tree... you can see Manning searching for some loot too.

Manning couldn't quite figure out how to make the ornaments hang but she tried pretty hard to help us decorate. Bryce was very much in the spirit while decorating! Very fun!

Visiting Clare

One of the major perks to going to California for the kids was visiting their cousin Clare. For those of you who don't know, Clare is less than a month younger than Manning so it is a lot of fun, and some times a little crazy, getting the girls together. I think Jacinda and I both share the hope than Manning and Clare will be good friends growing up together. Unfortunately, I didn't seem to get any pictures of Clare with the boys... they are all either Clare by herself or with Manning. I will have to remedy that the next time we see The California Boneaus!

Eating some delicious banana...
This was Thanksgiving Day... I think she had just woken up from a good night's sleep.

Clare and Manning both had the first of riding a "carnival" ride at Legoland. If you look closely, you can see Manning and me in the back right of this picture. Jacinda was the photographer and Rick was Clare's riding partner. :o)

Manning and Clare had so much fun sitting on the first step reading together. I thought I'd gotten one of them on the step together but I guess they decided to sit on the floor instead.

I thought this picture was too cute... the girls lounging on the couch eating their snack and having a drink! Look at Clare... she's totally vegged!

Hey you stole my outfit!

Daily December

I'm taking my friend's, Kim, challenge and I'm going to attempt to post something everyday on the blog. I think this challenge is especially good since I basically ignored the blog the ENTIRE month of November! Bad Becca. I'll post some pics every day of different things we did in California.

This is the kids anxiously awaiting the flight out to see Rick, Jacinda and Clare. It was Manning's first time to fly and she did really well. Both of the boys were much more aware of what was going on this time and they both did really well and had fun flying. The beautiful and delicious cake that Jacinda had made in her cake making class the night before we came out. Bryce and Lance never enjoyed eating corn so much as they did off the top of this cake!
Manning in her cute "Thanksgiving" garb. I just love the brown clothes... poor girl... she says "Give me some pink like the other girls Mom!"

Lance is ready for the Thanksgiving meal. We missed not being in Midland this year but we sure enjoyed our trip to California. We even made special placemats for everyone!

Bryce was such a good helper with the placemats and I think they enjoyed making them for the most part. Jacinda was a good sport and let us use them during the meal. :o) Happy Thanksgivng to everyone! Now on to Christmas...
