Trent's Birthday
Trent's birthday is Nov. 1st (so I'm blaming that on my inability to get Halloween pictures posted promptly... oh, wait, it's Nov. 6th you say?!?). I try and make all of the people in our house feel special on their birthday so Trent slept in while the kids and I decorated the house and blew up balloons. Shawn and Marielle came over (though not at the same time) for lunch and to help celebrate. Bryce couldn't wait for Dad to open his gifts and that time came after lunch.
Look at that pile of gifts! And all those cool decorations! The birthday boy getting ready to open gifts.

Manning couldn't stand for me to wear my witches hat without being a part of it too. It was gigantic on her head and yet fit her perfectly!
Halloween
So I'm a little slow on the uptake, but I thought I would post some pictures from HALLOWEEN to say that I did it. The kids are wearing the same costumes they did at the pumpkin party, but it's just to calm the little voice in my head saying, "You're a bad mother for not sharing halloween pictures with all those interested in your blog." :o) Here ya go...
Superman... ready to fill his bag with candy.

Manning couldn't stand me wearing my witch hat... she HAD to have it! She's much cuter in it than I am anyway.

Buzz is ready to conquer the world... or at least some trick or treating.

Trent got in the "hat wearing" spirit too... with his crazy hat from a XTO picnic of years past. You see Lance in the background refusing to be a part of the family photo op.

He didn't mind being in a picture with Bryce and Josie though.

Drew and Manning managed to rake in a respectable amount of candy for not saying "trick or treat" at a single house! It can't be because they're so cute, can it?!?

1st Annual Jones' Pumpkin Party
Our very good friends, Julia and Griffin, had a pumpkin party last Tuesday. (I know, I'm a little behind on posting) The kids had a great time playing with friends, eating yummy snacks and playing games. Our little ladybug...
Buzz Lightyear giving us his "most" as Lance put it.
Superman. Enough said. :o)
Bryce and his friend Josie doing the mummy wrap up game.
The pumpkin/spoon game. Bryce was teamed up with his two "girlfriends" Josie and Julia.
Manning and Griffin playing in the sandbox. Seems like the perfect thing to do at the pumpkin party. :o)
Very off center but I thought this was a good picture none the less.
All of the big kid pumpkin party participants. Julia (the hostess) and all her friends. Very fun!! Our big kids are so grown up.

Okay, I know I mentioned that I would be sending pictures of Bryce's Drug Free Week, but I didn't manage to get pictures taken everyday. They did end the week with "Hat Day" and they had they fund raiser for the year that day. They did a fun run on the school grounds and Bryce did really well. They cap the laps at 40 for per lap fundraising, but Bryce managed to collect 42 bracelets meaning he ran 42 laps! Very impressive I think.

Bryce showing me his running "bib"... it didn't last very long, he was running too fast for it to stay on! It may have also been helped by all the older kids running in to the Kindergarteners.

Picking up a bracelet for completing a lap.
Counting the bracelets after the run was over.
Time to go back to class and go home a few minutes early with Mom!
